Over the past few months the colours of Autumn on the trees have been very attractive and I have taken quite a lot of pictures of them. Now winter is here (and for now the rain has stopped) I was looking at the trees now there are no leaves on. There is a sense in which it is like looking at something for the first time the difference is so great. While the colours were attractive the very bareness of the trees has considerable beauty. The shapes and textures are interesting. In some cases there is still colour too on the bark for example. Allowing the mind to roam there are objects, creatures and other treats to be found in their winter guise.
