The plan last week was to go to the city to do some shopping… The forecast looked quite good – fortunately my partner is tolerant (and likes the coast too) so we headed off for a walk in some rare late Autumn sunshine.

The photography course that I am doing is extremely rewarding and without it the images for this photo shoot would be quite different. I now look at things with a somewhat different eye. Someone has suggested I am getting a ‘house style’ but I haven’t spotted it for myself yet! This was from [...] I was down on the river Dart in Totnes yesterday morning with the camera. It was a particularly high tide combined with the result of heavy rain on Dartmoor recently. This meant that the water level was as high as I’ve seen it in a while. I should be walking on the South West Coast path at the time. I wanted to try a post that was automated as much as anything. I hope there will be some interesting images [...] It looked like the day was going to be quite good so we decided to take a fairly short walk along the local part of the South West Coast Path. I did learn to check the iso settings on the camera from time to time – I’d inadvertently taken some at 800 iso – not good [...] |
