Reflections on reflections

This post does not relate to any specific photo shoot but to the fact that, from time to time, I realise I am paying as much attention to the reflections I see as the conventional view.  The one above brings a little summer to the winter weather.  As with some of the others [...]

Two minds with one thought

Rose coloured sky 1

I had a text message from my daughter who lives out of my area the other evening saying there was a lovely rose coloured sky.  I replied that there was here also  and I’d just taken some  photos.

Just Christmas...

With the “family” around…

Best wishes for the season to all readers – have a great time.  Thanks for looking – Nigel.

A walk on the beach

The plan last week was to go to the city to do some shopping…  The forecast looked quite good – fortunately my partner is tolerant (and likes the coast too) so we headed off for a walk in some rare late Autumn sunshine.

The contrasts in light and colour looking roughly west [...]

Towards the dark side

(and for those who know my sense of humour this is the dark side not the far side!)

Early on in the photography course I exchanged emails with a fellow student where we agreed we were being drawn to the “dark side” of photography. Del may wish to comment ( ) however [...]

Colour

This was from [...]

High tide and rain

I was down on the river Dart in Totnes yesterday morning with the camera.  It was a particularly high tide combined with the result of heavy rain on Dartmoor recently.  This meant that the water level was as high as I’ve seen it in a while.

The results of that can been seen below.

Some objet trouvé!

(Well I am doing a French course at present )

Hopefully I will not be here when this is published.  I should be walking on the  South West Coast path at the time.  I wanted to try a post that was automated as much as anything.  I hope there will be some interesting images [...]

A walk along the coast path

It looked like the day was going to be quite good so we decided to take a fairly short walk along the local part of the South West Coast Path.

I did learn to check the iso settings on the camera from time to time – I’d inadvertently taken some at 800 iso – not good [...]
