Having seen the bluebells out near Hey Tor on the previous evening I went back out again with the dslr to see if I could get some more shots. The phenomena is very short lived and I thought I would make the most of it.
Another unplanned set of images when I came across the scene looking for some “nice” pictures. Actually to see a section of the moor ablaze is not that unusual if you live in the area.

While overall the countryside still looks rather faded and winter like a trip to Dartington Hall gardens yesterday showed that there are the start of signs of Spring.
In addition to the snowdrops (the scent was lovely) the shoots of a number of bulbs indicated that the [...] This posting pre-dates the previous two in practice but I had not had a chance to work on the images I took until now. Just after the new year (but before the big snow) I drove up through the country (M5/M6). The previous night had seen some of the lowest temperatures.
