Given the fact that Summer time will start soon making dawn earlier I thought I’d try and catch one before having to get out of bed very early. The forecast was for clear skies (right this time) but I’d missed the forecasted temperatures.
It was pretty close to zero with a [...] The weather was quite good and it was the last of the really low Spring tides of the season. It seemed worthwhile exploring the shoreline to see what might be exposed that would not be on normal low tides.
The low tide made the sign on Paignton harbour wall unnecessary for a while at [...] This post does not relate to any specific photo shoot but to the fact that, from time to time, I realise I am paying as much attention to the reflections I see as the conventional view. Following up on the beachcombing from a few days ago we wandered the seafront in Preston and Paignton yesterday in some good winter light. The tide was a little high for any further rock pool work but there were things happening as we walked along the beach. The jetski activity was definitely [...] One of those days when the weather was better than we had expected it would be so we decided to get out in the winter sun. We had not walked along the coast in Torbay for a while so we headed to Broadsands and parked there and walked around the coast to [...] Out and about locally yesterday gave some differing and interesting light conditions. In the morning I was in Torbay wandering around on the coast.
The combination of the light and cloud over the Berry Head headland were very striking (and appealing). The light on a sea that was quite calm also looked [...] The plan last week was to go to the city to do some shopping… The forecast looked quite good – fortunately my partner is tolerant (and likes the coast too) so we headed off for a walk in some rare late Autumn sunshine.

The photography course that I am doing is extremely rewarding and without it the images for this photo shoot would be quite different. I now look at things with a somewhat different eye. Someone has suggested I am getting a ‘house style’ but I haven’t spotted it for myself yet! This was from [...]
Just back after four days mostly on the South West Coast path between Minehead and Woolacombe. With something over 400 images to sort through it will be a day or two before I can get what I want on here and elsewhere but I thought I’d put on a taster for now. Wednesday
