Frost and fog on the edge of Dartmoor I set off towards the moors looking for a day similar to the one in the last two posts – clear and cold. On the southern edge of the moors it looked as though the weather was not at all good and I [...] The weather was quite good and it was the last of the really low Spring tides of the season. It seemed worthwhile exploring the shoreline to see what might be exposed that would not be on normal low tides.

Ok well the above is from Dartmouth but as it looks out towards the open sea it is a useful one for context (and is a stitched panorama as well). The town does have a very long history dating back to the time of the crusades (12th century) when it was [...] I was down on the river Dart in Totnes yesterday morning with the camera. It was a particularly high tide combined with the result of heavy rain on Dartmoor recently. This meant that the water level was as high as I’ve seen it in a while. The results of that can been seen below. [...] |
